OPUS ONE, MAGGIE REILLY & NIKKI LAMBORN: TUBULAR BELLS, A TRIBUTE TO MIKE OLDFIELD

19 December · 20:00

Singers Maggie Reilly and Nikki Lamborn, together with Opus One, join forces to bring the best of Mike Oldfield’s music back to life.

Moonlight Shadow, To France, Family Man, Foreign Affair… are just some of Mike Oldfield’s songs that topped charts worldwide during the 1980s. All these compositions share one thing in common: the unmistakable voice of Scottish singer Maggie Reilly, the inseparable co-star of the British composer’s pop era. Joining her, for the first time in Barcelona, is Nikki Lamborn, one of the UK’s most prestigious rock and blues singers, who will perform, among others, several of Oldfield’s equally popular songs, such as Earth Moving.

Opus One is a project created to perform the music of Mike Oldfield on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of his early trilogy: Tubular Bells, Hergest Ridge and Ommadawn.
