Social Commitment
In line with its social commitment, the CCIB carries out projects that help improve people’s quality of life, especially for those in vulnerable situations or at risk of social exclusion.
Just in 2025, the CCIB took part in 29 projects and allocated over €378,770 to social programs, including food and material donations, the provision of spaces and services, the involvement in campaigns and financial contributions.
Barcelona Forum District
The CCIB is a founding member of the Barcelona Forum District (BFD), a pioneering non-profit association in Europe. It was created in 2011 and brings together companies, institutions and organisations from the Barcelona Forum environment with shared values in terms of social responsibility, environmental sustainability and cultural development.
Since its inception, the BFD has facilitated the employment of more than 1,000 people, among many other actions promoted throughout the year.
Involvement in 2025 campaigns:
- Fundació Lluita contra les Infeccions: People in Red gala.
- Fundació Esclerosi Múltiple: An Apple for Life campaign.
- Fundació Portolà: Sant Jordi campaign.
- Fundació Trinijove: One letter, one dream campaing.
- Casal dels Infants: Summer activities scholarships.
- Fundació Joia, Fundació ADSIS and Fundació ARED: Training day in the CCIB kitchen.
- Fundació AIS Ayuda: Purchase of solidary chocolates
- Associació Alba: Purchase of solidary El Rosal waffles.
Some of these events in 2025 included:
- General Assembly of the Barcelona Forum District.
- Cors del Besòs.
- Lo que de Verdad Importa.
- Solidarity Dinner of Fundació Pere Tarrés.
- Christmas Dinner of Hospital Sant Joan de Déu.
When events held at the CCIB generate surplus materials (such as mats, pillows, towels, notebooks, pens, or furniture) or food, donations are made to educational centers, social organizations, and associations in the Sant Martí District, including:
- Fundació Formació i Treball.
- Fundació Trinijove.
- Associació en Xarxa.
- Fundació Pere Tarrés.
- Fundació AIS Ayuda.
In 2024, we took part in the Waste Collection Day at the Besòs River Park (Sant Adrià del Besòs) as part of the Let’s Clean Up Besòs campaign, an initiative to raise awareness about the importance of protecting the environment and reducing the waste discarded in natural surroundings. 55 volunteers from different companies associated to BArcelona Forum District, collected 96 kg during the two hours of the activity.
