Sustainable Development Goals
The CCIB has adopted the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), set out in the 2030 Agenda, as a framework to guide its actions and generate a positive impact on the economy, society and the environment.
Of the 17 goals, we prioritise those where our activities and sector can make the greatest direct contribution.
Annual Sustainability Report
Since 2011, the CCIB has been publishing its annual sustainability report, which presents key indicators in areas such as the environment, human resources, finance and community relations, in line with ESG criteria.
These indicators are determined through a materiality analysis based on GRI (Global Reporting Initiative) standards, which identifies the most relevant issues for both the sector and our stakeholders.
Biosphere Certification for Responsible Tourism
The CCIB has received the Biosphere certification for its commitment to sustainable management and the promotion of responsible tourism. Awarded in 2019, this recognition placed the CCIB among the first 50 companies to join the Barcelona Biosphere Commitment to Sustainable Tourism.
This certification acknowledges organisations in the tourism sector that operate responsibly in areas such as the environment, culture, working conditions, gender equality, and social and economic impact.
