Sigur Rós announces its return to Europe with the final dates of its epic world tour, in which the band will collaborate with local orchestras of 41 musicians to bring their latest album, ÁTTA, to life, along with the most beloved songs from their discography. In Barcelona they will perform at the Auditori Fòrum CCIB and will be accompanied by the Orquestra Simfònica del Vallès.
The new concerts will be the last opportunity for fans to enjoy this unique Sigur Rós performance, in collaboration with conductor Robert Ames and local orchestras, making these dates another important milestone in their career. The tour has already taken them to some of the most iconic concert halls in the world, such as London’s Royal Albert Hall, Rome’s Sala Santa Cecilia, Paris’s Salle Pleyel, Brussels’ Bozar, Mexico City’s Auditorio Nacional, and Vienna’s Konzerthaus.
With nearly ten million albums sold, Sigur Rós stands as one of the most ambitious and acclaimed bands of recent times, whose new artistic projects point only toward a promising and exciting future.
