Iván Ferreiro

Few careers in Spanish music possess the ability to evoke memory as honestly as Iván Ferreiro’s. Over three and a half decades of absolute devotion to song —first as the leader and iconic vocalist of Los Piratas and later as one of the most lucid and respected songwriters on our solo scene—, the Galician artist has built an essential body of work. With twelve studio albums and intergenerational anthems such as Turnedo, Ferreiro has made vulnerability, lyrical poetry and melodic experimentation his purest hallmark.

To mark this milestone, the musician is embarking on his Hoy x Ayer: 35 aniversario tour, a conscious journey that does not seek empty nostalgia, but rather the celebration of a historic repertoire. «Before me appear faces, smiles, cities, studios and stages, and above all, songs. Thirty-five years of songs.», Ferreiro himself reflects. In this proposal, the Vigo native sheds himself of artifice to place voice and emotion at the absolute center, backed by an exceptional band made up of traveling companions such as Amaro Ferreiro, Ricky Falkner, Xavi Molero, Pablo Novoa, Emilio Saiz and Sergio M. Puga.

The privileged acoustics of the Auditori Fòrum CCIB will host an evening full of emotion, conceived as a reunion with the songs of an Iván who continues to fascinate us in the same way he did 35 years ago.
