The 35th edition of CineEurope showcases in Barcelona the films and trends that will shape the immediate future of cinemas. From June 22 to 25, the leading European convention and trade show for the film industry brings together at the International Barcelona Convention Centre (CCIB), managed by Fira de Barcelona, more than 4,000 professionals, including exhibitors, distributors, and representatives from the major Hollywood and European studios. Established at the CCIB since 2012, CineEurope celebrates its 35th anniversary with presentations and screenings of the most anticipated upcoming releases, a broad programme of conferences and seminars, and an exhibition area dedicated to the latest technological innovations for cinemas.

Produced by The Film Expo Group, CineEurope is the official annual convention of the International Union of Cinemas (UNIC), a trade association representing cinema exhibitors and their national associations across 39 European territories, with the aim of promoting the cultural, social, and economic value of cinema.

Since its arrival at CCIB, CineEurope has established itself as the European showcase for major film releases. This edition features 11 studios, including The Walt Disney Studios, Warner Bros. Pictures, Universal Pictures, Paramount Pictures, Sony Pictures Releasing, StudioCanal, Lionsgate, Angel Studios, and Mubi, with Amazon MGM Studios and Laika joining for the first time. The studios will present to accredited professionals, in exclusive closed-door sessions, the productions that will shape international cinema releases over the coming months, in an environment designed to preserve content confidentiality before they reach the general public.

The programme also includes an extensive schedule of conferences and seminars led by industry experts, where current trends, future challenges, and innovations transforming the cinema experience are analysed. In parallel, CineEurope features a 6,800 m² exhibition area where 72 leading companies showcase the latest exhibition solutions, from projection and sound technologies to new services for managing and enhancing the audience experience in cinemas. The event once again counts on The Coca-Cola Company as its official corporate sponsor, a partnership that has been maintained for 35 years.

CCIB Forum Auditorium, ready for the big screen
To host CineEurope under the best technical conditions, the CCIB Forum Auditorium is once again transformed into a true first-class cinema, adapted to the most demanding standards of the international audiovisual industry. The versatility of the space and its adaptability allow for an immersive, high-quality screening experience for the exclusive presentations of the leading film studios.

The CCIB Forum Auditorium maintains large-format screens measuring 16.95 metres in width and 7.10 metres in height, designed to ensure optimal visibility from any point in the auditorium and to reproduce projections with maximum artistic and technical fidelity.

For digital projection, a high-power system featuring state-of-the-art technology from Barco is deployed, consisting of four 4K RGB laser projectors with 55,000 lumens, two additional projectors prepared for HDR content also at 55,000 lumens, and four units of 35,000 lumens. Together, this infrastructure enables large-format content to be projected with greater sharpness, brightness, and contrast range—essential conditions for showcasing the most advanced film productions with maximum fidelity.

The experience is completed with a Dolby Laboratories 7.1 sound system, reinforced with 50 loudspeakers provided by QSC and Kelonik Cinema Sound, distributed strategically throughout the auditorium to ensure precise, balanced, and immersive audio, capable of placing the audience at the centre of the action.
